WebbI hear pleaded a lot more often, but I personally prefer pled and I think pleaded sounds a bit strange, especially when I hear it used where it’s normally used, which is in courts.. They’re very formal and proper situations and it’s always jarring when I hear all these big, formal words and then “pleaded”. But both are correct.
