WebDefinitely Chorlton. I lived in Withington 30 years ago and it had a high burglary rate then. It is nice and studenty with big Victorian houses and some Boho folk live there, but there's a scummy undercurrent about that ruins it. Chorlton is great for trams and has better bars and shops.
