WebOct 4, 2024 · About 200 yards from the campground is the small beach area on the Neuse river. You must negotiate about 3 flights of stairs to get to it. It is a nice quiet area, with lots of afternoon shade. Its not really deep, but perfect for small kids or an inflatable raft/kayak. The not so good:
